Location
Beruwala is located 55 km south of Colombo in the western coastal belt.

Reaching Beruwala
Beruwala can be reached by main Colombo-Galle motor road (A2) as well as by Colombo-Galle-Matara southern railway line.
Beginning from Beruwala, Sri Lanka's south western and southern beaches spread along the coastal belt for 205 km till it reaches 2 km long beach of Rekawa, 10 km east of Tangalla.

Beruwala Town
Both the railway station and bus station are in the city center of Beruwala. The stretch of Beruwala resort and guest houses begins 2km south of the town.

Beruwala Beach
Beruwala's broad and attractive beach called "Golden Mile" is well protected with security guards. Still Beruwala is a poor cousin of Renowned Bentota next door.

Altugama: transportation hub
